In order to look at my overall work properly and evaluate it, I need to get audience feedback on my work.
The genre I have selected to work with was Comedy Drama and I have tried my fully best to stick to that. This was proven as my target audience’s response to the trailer was that they could recognise that it was a comedy drama. I questioned the audience why they took it as a comedy drama and they responded saying bits of the trailer are meant to be humorous and they can relate my character to Ugly Betty which automatically tells them that there has to be some humour and a lot of dramatic moments within the film.
The feedback was positive and constructive too.
Positive Feedback:
- Good use of music
- Good concept
- Some areas of brilliant camerawork – panning etc
- Keeping the trailer simple and not giving away the entire story
Negative but constructive feedback:
- Could of used a better Location (busier city centre)
- Could of added more characters to the trailer
